What does Move it Online do?
Move it Online, is the only "Online - Open Tender - Trading Platform", specifically designed to bring
business and environmental efficiency to the Freight and Transport Industry. This is where "Shippers"
(manufacturers, producers, wholesalers and distributors) can place their "goods to move", rather than having
to ring around or work through a mountain of quotes to find the best prices.
Is it free to join?
Yes. There are no Subscriptions, Membership or Registration fees and there are no charges to place a Job. At the end
of the Job the Shipper pays the winning Transporter direct.
As a Shipper, I have lots of loads that I would like to put on the system. Do I have to type this information in every time?
No. We have developed tools to make it easier to add and edit Jobs quickly. These include a list of your own addresses
and a facility to quickly re-list Jobs.
Can I edit or cancel a Job after it has been listed on Move it Online?
Yes. Prior to receiving any bids you can change any part of the Job. However once a bid has been received the Job
details are locked and the Shipper cannot make any further changes. However, if there is a genuine error on the Job
then the Move it Online administrator can be contacted to make changes or cancel the Job
How do I decide what my "Starting Price" should be?
When you are looking to price your "goods to move" there are a number of factors that affect the pricing
of the Job. These include the size and number of items to be moved and the distance they have to be transported. When
considering what your "starting price" will be try not to set it too low as this may limit the number of bids
you receive. The starting price is the maximum price that you are willing to pay.
A good place to start would be to decide how much it would cost YOU to deliver the goods?
As a Shipper; who sees the tenders that are made on my Job?
Any authorised Transporter that searches on your Job can see the tendering history; but they can only see the price
not who tendered.
As a Transporter; are there any costs to use Move it Online?
There are no membership fees or charges to tender for Jobs through Move it Online. With our "Pay as You Go"
system you are only ever charged if you win a Job. When you win a Job, Move it Online's fee is 10% (ex VAT) of the
lowest tendered price.
Can a company join Move it Online as both a Shipper and Transporter?
Yes. A company can use Move it Online, and also have its own "Closed user Group" for secure or specific Transport needs.
